My costume work; known more commonly as fursuits. I have been designing and producing fursuits for commercial and private customers for the past 7 years. My work in this area has developed and honed practical skills in costume design, color coordination and accenting, material & fabric selection, machine and hand-sewing and fine detailing.

The Process:

  • Sculpt and complete the head using foam for shape, and finishing in faux fur material

  • Create pattern for and sew up hand paw gloves

  • Glue shoe on solid base and use foam to sculpt up and create feet

  • Pattern and sew up tail and full body suit

  • Put all together to get final product

  • Foam

  • Faux fur fabric of mulptiple colors and variety

  • Fleece fabric

  • Styrene sheet plastic

  • Mesh fabric

  • Minky fabric

  • PVC Vinyl

  • Hot glue

  • Polyester Thread

  • Hot glue gun

  • Fabric scissors

  • Electric Knife

  • Duct Tape

  • Assorted other matriels as needed (feathers, buttons, etc.)
